Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has opened Post Graduate admissions for the 2026-27 academic session. The registration portal has gone live at ipu.admissions.nic.in, and candidates can now apply for a total of 22 PG programs offered across various streams at the university.
Selection for these programs will be based entirely on scores obtained in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) PG 2026, conducted annually by the National Testing Agency (NTA). GGSIPU is using the CUET PG scorecard as the sole basis for admission this cycle, doing away with the need for a separate university-level entrance test for these courses.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?
To apply, candidates must hold a valid CUET PG 2026 scorecard issued by NTA. It's important to note that each program has its own domain-specific subject requirement under CUET PG, so applicants need to carefully check which domain paper matches their intended program before applying.
The complete program-wise eligibility criteria are listed in the PG Admission Brochure 2026-27, available on the university website. Candidates are strongly advised to go through this brochure thoroughly before filling out the application form.
How to Apply for GGSIPU PG Admission 2026
The entire application process is conducted online, with registration open on both official portals — there's no offline mode available this cycle. Candidates can follow these steps to apply:
- Visit ipu.admissions.nic.in or ipu.ac.in.
- Register using a valid email ID and mobile number.
- Fill in the form with academic details and CUET PG information.
- Upload scanned documents as specified in the brochure.
- Pay the application fee via net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI.
- Submit the form and save the confirmation page for future reference.
The application fee of Rs 2,500 is non-refundable, and candidates applying to multiple programs will need to pay this fee separately for each choice.
Why This Matters
As one of Delhi's largest state universities, GGSIPU's shift to a CUET PG-based intake widens access for postgraduate aspirants from across the country, removing the barrier of a separate university-specific entrance exam for these 22 courses.
Action Plan for Candidates
Candidates should download the PG Admission Brochure 2026-27 from the university website, confirm the correct CUET PG domain subject for their target program, and keep their CUET PG 2026 scorecard and Class 12 marksheet ready. It's important to complete online registration well before the closing time and pay the fee separately for each programme applied to, while saving the final application form and payment receipt for record.
What to Watch Out For Next
Once registration closes, candidates should keep an eye on the GGSIPU PG merit list and counselling schedule. The university is expected to publish seat allotment and document verification dates on ipu.admissions.nic.in in the coming weeks.
