The Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS) has begun the first round of registration for postgraduate admissions for the 2026-27 academic session. Eligible candidates can apply online via the website gcas.gujgov.edu.in from June 15 to June 29, 2026, with the last date being 11:59 PM. The admission process includes various postgraduate courses such as M.A., M.Com., M.Sc., M.Ed., LL.M., B.Ed., and several PG Diploma programs offered by universities and colleges across Gujarat. The first admission offers will be released between July 7 and July 9, 2026, with seats allocated based on the candidates’ merit and their preferred choices.

Courses Available
Candidates can apply for M.A., M.Com., M.Sc., M.Ed., LL.M., B.Ed., and several PG Diploma programs. Admissions will be granted strictly based on merit.
How to Apply for GCAS PG Round 1?
Candidates need to go to the website gcas.gujgov.edu.in and click on Student Login or New Registration. After selecting either Post Graduate (Regular) or Post Graduate (BAOU Distance Learning), applicants must fill in their personal and academic details, upload the necessary documents, pay the registration fee online, and choose their preferred university and course. Applicants are advised to complete the registration process before June 29, 2026, instead of waiting until the last minute.
Registration Fee
The application fee is ₹300 for candidates from the General, OBC-NCL, and EWS categories. Candidates from SC, ST, and PwBD categories need to pay ₹150.The fee is non-refundable and can be paid online.
Mock Round and Edit Window
The mock round will take place from June 30 to July 3, allowing students to check their provisional merit position and admission chances. Mock admission offers will be available on July 3, while the correction and preference editing window will be open from July 4 to July 6.
Admission Offer 1
The first round of seat allotment will be announced between July 7 and July 9, 2026.
Candidates who receive an offer must confirm their admission, complete document verification, and report to the allocated institute within the given time frame.
