How to Fill the GATE 2027 Application Form on GOAPS
- Visit the official website, gate2027.iitm.ac.in.
- Click the GATE registration link and proceed through DigiLocker verification.
- Check and confirm your details to generate your enrolment ID and password.
- Complete facial registration and upload the required documents.
- Pay the application fee and submit the GATE 2027 form.
Candidates are advised to download the confirmation PDF once the form is submitted, for their own records.
DigiLocker Requirement for GATE 2027
DigiLocker linking is mandatory for Indian nationals applying to GATE 2027. Before starting registration, candidates should ensure:
- An active, verified DigiLocker account with a verified email address
- A mobile number linked to DigiLocker that is active and can receive OTPs
- The following details are correctly updated in DigiLocker: name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, profile picture, address, and verified ID number
Candidates handling reserved-category or PwD documents are advised to create a separate "GATE2027" folder within DigiLocker to organise required uploads. During the authentication process, the browser window should not be closed or refreshed until redirection completes.
Candidates can also register using an unverified DigiLocker account, selecting a default ID proof during the process. However, IIT Madras has clarified that such applications will be checked during the scrutiny process after the registration deadline.
OBC/NCL and EWS candidates are only required to upload their photograph and signature as per the specified format — no additional category documents are needed at the registration stage.
