The National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched the GAT-B 2026 scorecard. The rank card is also available on the official website. Both can be downloaded from exams.nta.nic.in/gat-bet. GAT-B stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Biotechnology. The scorecard was first made public on June 10, 2026. NTA announced the release of the rank card on June 25, 2026. To access it, candidates need to enter their application number and password. If they forget their password, they can use their date of birth instead. The scorecard shows the candidate’s name, roll number, and category. It also includes marks in each subject, total score, percentile, and all-India rank. This rank is essential for getting into postgraduate biotechnology programs through DBT counseling. GAT-B is organized by NTA for the Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB). The score is used to get admission into DBT-supported biotechnology postgraduate courses. Over 70 institutions across the country accept this rank for admissions.

What Does the GAT-B Rank Card Mean for Candidates?

The All India Rank determines the allocation of seats during DBT counseling. Higher ranks may secure placements at RCB or the National Institute of Immunology. Many DBT-supported university departments also use this rank for admissions. Candidates who are selected might get a stipend linked to the DBT-JRF during their program. The rank card is not just an academic document but also a financial opportunity. A small difference in rank can lead to a different institution being offered.

Action Plan for Candidates

  1. Login to exams.nta.nic.in/gat-bet and download the scorecard.
  2. Check your name, category, marks, and rank for any errors.
  3. Save digital copies and print at least two clear copies.

  5. Prepare all required documents such as certificates, ID proof, and category proof for the counseling process.
