Aspirants who have qualified for NEET PG 2025 and are seeking admission to Government Medical Colleges and Self-Financing Medical Educational Institutions in Kerala must complete the process on the official website, cee.kerala.gov.in, without fail. Given the tight deadline, authorities have strongly indicated that an extension is highly unlikely, making this the absolute last chance to register preferences for the first round of seat allotment.

The Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, has issued a crucial final alert for all candidates participating in the NEET PG 2025 Round 1 Counselling for admission to PG medical (MD/MS) and dental courses in the state. The window for online option registration (choice filling and locking) is set to close today, November 12, 2025, at 5:00 PM.

The Importance of Choice Locking

For medical aspirants, the choice filling and locking process is the most critical stage of counselling. The seat allotment result is generated purely based on the options submitted and locked by the candidate, in conjunction with their NEET PG rank, reservation status, and the newly released seat matrix. Candidates must ensure their list of preferred specializations and colleges is in descending order of priority, as this finalized list will dictate their allotment status.

Candidates are advised to review the recently published seat matrix by the CEE, which details the category-wise distribution of seats for various MD and MS programs. This information should be cross-referenced with their rank and eligibility before finalizing their choices to maximize their chances of securing a desirable seat.

Upcoming Allotment Schedule

Following the closure of the choice locking window today, the CEE will proceed with the seat processing and result declaration. Candidates should mark the following dates for subsequent stages:

  • Provisional Seat Allotment Result: The first round provisional seat allotment result is scheduled to be announced on November 14, 2025.
  • Final Seat Allotment Result: The final result of Round 1 will be published on November 15, 2025.

The provisional result allows candidates a short window to raise any objections regarding the data, while the final result confirms the seat allotted to the candidate. Successful candidates must then download their allotment memos and proceed with fee payment and physical reporting to the allotted college within the stipulated time frame to confirm their admission for the academic session 2025-26. Failure to report or complete the admission formalities will lead to the forfeiture of the seat and potential debarment from subsequent rounds.

Postgraduate medical education aspirants must understand the gravity of meeting this final deadline. For regular updates on all phases of the counselling and any modifications in the schedule, follow Only Education News.
