The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued a final, urgent reminder to all NEET PG 2025 aspirants participating in the All India Quota (AIQ) Round 1 Counselling. The crucial window for using the 'Reset Registration' option is closing tomorrow, November 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM. This tight deadline represents the absolute last chance for candidates to rectify any errors made during their initial registration or to start the application process afresh if they had previously failed to complete it.

For thousands of aspiring postgraduates aiming for MD, MS, or PG Diploma courses, using this feature correctly is vital to ensuring eligibility for the upcoming seat allotment process. Failure to submit accurate details or to finalize the registration before the cutoff will lead to exclusion from the Round 1 allotment, despite the candidate's NEET PG rank.

Who Must Act Now?

This Reset Registration option is primarily designed for the following aspirants:

  • Error Correction: Candidates who noticed mistakes in their registration form, particularly in non-editable fields like category status, person with disability (PwD) status, or certain personal data. Resetting allows them to re-enter the correct information.
  • Failed Payment/Submission: Candidates who initiated the registration but were unable to complete the fee payment or final submission. The reset option provides a clean slate to re-register and ensure the security deposit is paid successfully.
  • Upgrading Status: Aspirants who have secured an updated certificate (e.g., EWS/OBC-NCL certificate) that impacts their eligibility and need to reflect the change in their registration data.

Aspirants must log in to the official MCC portal, use the 'Reset Registration' option if necessary, and then meticulously complete the fresh registration process, including the payment, before the November 5 deadline.

The Road Ahead: Seat Allotment

With the registration correction process concluding tomorrow, the MCC will swiftly move to the next phases of the Round 1 schedule, which are expected to be announced soon:

  • Choice Filling and Locking: Once the final list of eligible candidates is prepared, the window for choice filling will be announced. Aspirants must use the recently released NMC Seat Matrix (confirming 52,173 PG seats) to strategically select and lock their preferences for colleges and specialized courses (MD/MS/Diploma).
  • Seat Allotment: The Round 1 Seat Allotment Result will follow shortly after the choice locking period ends.

Given the intense competition for the 78,000 PG medical seats confirmed in India, every administrative step, especially the final deadline for correcting registration, is critical. Candidates must prioritize this task today to ensure their candidacy is secured.
