In-person assessments are set to start on July 15, 2026. DU has stated that applicants will not receive any additional intimation. Neither text messages nor email notifications will be sent regarding the ECA trials. Applicants who have registered are expected to keep checking the admissions site for every update about the trials. In total, the process includes 14 ECA streams. Among them, 12 will take place offline at selected colleges. The other two—NCC and NSS—will run in an online mode. Trial results account for 75 percent of the overall selection tally. The remaining 25 percent comes from the CUET UG 2026 result. At the time of sign-up, applicants were able to choose as many as three ECA options. For each selected activity, they had to submit five top certificates. Alterations to trial dates are permitted only in rare situations and require clearance from the ECA Committee.

What to Do to Get Ready for the DU ECA Trials 2026?

Applicants in dance, music, and theater should plan a brief act. It should last between 3 and 5 minutes. The evaluating panel will rate skill in the selected area. No fixed curriculum is set for any ECA discipline. The panel’s marking decision will be conclusive and compulsory to accept. No later complaint process or additional chance will be provided. Participants are not allowed to bring prohibited electronic gadgets onto the premises. Capturing audio or video of the trials is completely forbidden. Using AI during the trial will lead to disqualification. Submissions in digital media must not include filters or AI-based edits. Sharing equipment among participants is also disallowed at all venues.
