Delhi University (DU) issued an announcement on May 1, 2026, regarding the rescheduling of postgraduate and professional semester examinations due to certain unavoidable reasons. As stated in the official circular dated April 29, 2026, there will be no examinations held from May 20 to May 25, 2026. The Controller of Examinations has instructed all departments to submit the new date sheets immediately for final approval by the relevant authorities.

This instruction applies only to the examinations that were originally scheduled between May 20 and May 25, 2026. All examinations that were set before May 20 and after May 25 will proceed as planned. The concerned departments of Delhi University are required to inform all faculty members and students about the revised examination dates. The updated date sheets will be displayed on departmental notice boards and also made available on the official DU website, exam.du.ac.in.

The exams have been postponed due to unexpected situations. However, the university hasn't shared the specific reasons for the delay.

Preparation of Revised Date Sheet

The university authorities have stressed the need for careful rescheduling to ensure students are not faced with any issues caused by overlapping study periods. It was also made clear that the revised date sheet will be finalized after a detailed review by the university authorities. Additionally, it has been ordered that the schedule be made available to students as soon as possible without any unnecessary delays. 

 Student Guidance and Changes in Examination Portal

Students are advised to regularly check the examination portal at penexam.du.ac.in for the latest updates on exam dates and schedules. The university authorities have stated that all updates will be posted on the portal as notifications and PDF date sheets after being approved by the relevant departments.

Students should review these changes once they are uploaded and must carefully check the details provided on their admit cards. It is also recommended that students stay in touch with their respective department for any additional information or updates related to examinations. 

Student Advisory and Portal Updates

Students have been told to check the portal exam.du.ac.in often for new announcements and the latest exam schedule. The university has made it clear that the final notices and updated PDF exam calendars will be posted on the portal once they are approved by the relevant authorities.

Once the updated calendar is available, students are advised to look at their admit cards and exam dates on the portal. Students are also being asked to keep in contact with their departments for any additional updates.
