The University of Delhi (DU) has started accepting applications for One-Year Postgraduate (PG) programs for the 2026-27 academic session. The registration process is now open on the portal at pgportal.uod.ac.in. Candidates can register and pay the application fee until July 28, 2026. This one-year PG program is being introduced for the first time by DU. It is available only to graduates from DU's Four-Year Undergraduate Program (FYUP) who are under the UGCF 2022 scheme. Admission will be based on merit, using the CGPA scores from the eight semesters of their undergraduate studies.

Who Can Apply?

Only graduates from the Four-Year Undergraduate Program (FYUP) under UGCF 2022 are eligible to apply. The undergraduate discipline must match the intended MA or MSc subject. Graduates from the School of Open Learning (SOL) and the Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB) are also eligible to apply. General, OBC-NCL, and EWS category candidates must have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. SC, ST, and PwBD candidates need a minimum of 45% marks. Equivalent CGPA scores can be used in place of percentage marks.

Programs Offered and Seat Availability

DU is offering 34 one-year postgraduate programs across nine different faculties. These include programs in Arts, social sciences, science, mathematics, and music and fine arts. The number of seats available for each program ranges from 6 to 45. The MA (Urdu) program has the highest number of seats with 50 available.

Admission Phases for DU One-Year PG 2026-27

The admission process for the 2026-27 session is divided into three phases. Each phase plays a specific role in the admission process.

1. Phase I: Online registration on the PG portal, which is currently open.
2. Phase II: Selection of the program after the 8th semester results are announced.
3. Phase III: Allocation of seats and final admission at the respective department level.

Documents Needed for Registration

Make sure you have the following documents scanned and ready before applying.

1. Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates.
2. Semester-wise mark sheets for all eight UG semesters.
3. Provisional or final degree certificate from DU for FYUP graduates.
4. Category certificate for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, or EWS applicants.
5. PwBD certificate for those applying under the disability quota.
6. Recent passport-size photograph and scanned signature.
7. Valid government-issued photo identity proof.

DU Reservation Policy for One-Year PG Programs

The university follows standard reservation policies for the One-Year PG intake. 

Supernumerary quotas apply for PwBD, single girl child, orphan, and ward categories.
