Dibrugarh University B.Tech/M.Tech Admissions 2026 Open Till June 30
Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology (DUIET) has started accepting online applications for 4-year B.Tech and 2-year M.Tech courses for the 2026-27 academic year.

Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology (DUIET) has started accepting online applications for 4-year B.Tech and 2-year M.Tech courses for the 2026-27 academic year. Eligible students can apply through the DUIET Admission 2026 portal at dibru.ac.in starting from April 30, 2026. The last date to apply is June 30, 2026, and the application fee is Rs. 1000 for both B.Tech and M.Tech programs. Both new applicants and those entering through lateral entry can apply for engineering courses offered by Dibrugarh University. These courses include specializations in modern technology fields.
The list of B.Tech programs includes:
- Computer Science & Engineering (with a minor in AI and ML)
- Electronics & Communication Engineering (with a minor in IoT and Data Science)
- Mechanical Engineering (with a minor in Additive Manufacturing)
- Petroleum Engineering
Additionally, all B.Tech students will have the opportunity to study drone technology through the Center of Excellence (CoE), which has been established in partnership with AICTE.
The M.Tech program specializations are:
- Computer Science & Engineering (AI and ML)
- Electronics & Communication Engineering (IoT and Sensor Systems)
- Mechanical Engineering (Thermal and Fluid Engineering)
- Petroleum Engineering

Prospective candidates applying for B.Tech programs need to have passed the 10+2 or equivalent exam with physics, chemistry, and mathematics, achieving a minimum of 45% marks (40% for candidates from reserved categories). It's important to note that chemistry is not a required subject for admission into the CSE and ECE programs. Additionally, individuals who have a diploma in vocational education in related fields can apply for lateral entry programs.
Applicants must have a valid CEE Assam 2026 or JEE Main 2026 scorecard.
They should also be between the ages of 17 and 21, with age relaxation applicable for SC/ST candidates. For M.Tech programs, applicants must hold a valid B.E./B.Tech degree or MSc degree (in certain cases) or a valid GATE score with at least 60% marks. Besides the above, candidates must also meet other criteria such as domicile requirements and physical fitness standards. All applicants must be Indian citizens.
B.Tech/M.Tech Selection Process at Dibrugarh University
Applicants need to apply online via the DUIET Admission 2026 Portal at dibru.ac.in. Applying through any other way is not allowed. If someone is getting admission into the B.Tech course, they will be selected based on their performance in CEE Assam 2026 or JEE Main 2026, along with meeting the minimum eligibility requirements. For M.Tech courses, candidates with a valid GATE score are eligible to apply. Those without a GATE score must take the institute’s own entrance test. Reservations will be given according to government guidelines.
