What Happens After the Results?

The declaration of results is merely the start of the final selection hurdle. Here is what students in different streams must prioritize:

  • IIT Aspirants (UCEED): Once the rank list is out on March 6, the "Joint Seat Allocation" process begins on March 14. You must rank your preferences for IIT Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur.
  • NIFT Aspirants: If you clear the cut-off for the written exam (GAT/CAT) in late March, you will be called for the Situation Test (B.Des) or Group Discussion/Personal Interview (Master's) in April.
  • Symbiosis (SEED) Aspirants: Round 2 results on March 25 will lead directly to the Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI) round, which carries significant weightage in the final merit list.

Key Document Checklist for March Counselling

As the counselling phase approaches, ensure your digital locker is updated with:

  1. Final Year Marksheets (or Bonafide Certificate for 10+2/Final Year students).
  2. Category Certificates (OBC-NCL/EWS/SC/ST) dated after April 1, 2025.
  3. Physical Portfolio: For NID and SID aspirants, ensure your portfolio is digitized and ready for upload/presentation.

Expert Insight: The 'Part-B' Factor in UCEED

While the Part-A cut-off marks were released on February 5 ($Mean = 70.86, \sigma = 25.77$), remember that your final All India Rank (AIR) depends on the combined performance of Part-A and the subjective Part-B. Many students with high Part-A scores fail to make the merit list due to low Part-B marks.
