The Two-Stage Selection Process
Admission to the B.Des program is based on a comprehensive two-stage process:
- Stage 1: Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED): This is a mandatory 60-minute Online Proctored Test (CBT) covering key areas like Visual Ability, Quantitative Ability, General Awareness, and Design Aptitude. Qualifying this stage is essential for shortlisting.
- Stage 2: Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI): Shortlisted candidates will proceed to the Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction round, where their creative skills, clarity of thought, and career motivation are assessed.
Aspirants are strongly encouraged to use the next few weeks to not only submit their application but also to focus on rigorous preparation for the SEED exam, which is now less than a month away, followed by compiling a strong Portfolio for the PRPI stage.
