As the final day of February arrives, the wait for thousands of design aspirants is nearly over. IIT Bombay, the conducting body for the national-level design entrance exams, is set to declare the results for UCEED 2026 and CEED 2026 on March 6, 2026. These outcomes will determine the eligibility of candidates for prestigious Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Master of Design (M.Des) programs across IITs and other participating institutes.
Result Declaration and Scorecard Access
Following the official announcement on March 6, the UCEED 2026 portal will enable scorecard downloads starting from March 10. These scorecards are vital documents for the upcoming 2026-27 academic session, as they remain valid for one year and are required during the centralized counselling process.
- Candidates must use their registered user login and password to view their results and download the digital scorecard.
- The merit rank list is prepared based on the combined marks of Part-A (objective) and Part-B (subjective/drawing), which were evaluated throughout February.
- Only qualified candidates who clear the category-wise cut-off marks will be assigned an All India Rank (AIR).
Transition to B.Des and M.Des Applications
The release of results triggers a high-intensity application window for various technical design departments. While UCEED leads to a centralized process for IITs, CEED-qualified candidates must often apply individually to their preferred M.Des programs at institutes like IISc Bangalore and various IITs.
- The application process for the B.Des program at participating IITs is scheduled to begin on March 14, 2026.
- Candidates are advised to keep their UCEED scorecards and Class 12 certificates ready for the registration phase.
- The following table highlights the critical dates for the March 2026 design result cycle:
| Event | Official Date | Action Required |
| Declaration of Results | March 6, 2026 | Check UCEED/CEED Portal |
| Scorecard Download Start | March 10, 2026 | Download & Print |
