The notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 has been published by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today on 11th of May. The notification is the pathway for the younger generation to get into the education system of India.

According to the notification, the examination to become eligible to be a teacher in the Central Board of Secondary Education Board is going to be taken in September of this year. The notification says that the candidates would have to check all the details and apply on the official website of the CTET Official Portal.

Registration for the CTET examination has started from 11th May 2026. The exam would have to happen in the Offline mode. The students would have to fill an Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheet in the examination haul. The Paper 1 is going to happen for Classes 1 to 5 while the Paper 2 will happen for Classes 6 to 8.

There is a big change that has been made by the Central Board. The exam centres would be allotted by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The fact that exam centres would be allotted randomly might make the candidate’s uncomfortable or put them in a certain anxiety.

The Central Board is aware that there would be a huge amount of requests from the candidates who have applied to change their examination centre or the examination city. The Central Board of Secondary Education has made it very clear that these requests won’t be entertained by the Central Board. Any chances of accepting these requests have been placed in the dustbin.

The Central Board has increased the medium of examination by increasing the number of languages in which the exam is scheduled. The exam is scheduled in 27 languages and the candidates can apply by going to the official website of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test, ctet.nic.in .
