Students who passed the Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) 2026 can now look at the full schedule for practice rounds, choosing their preferences, getting seats allocated, and reporting to their chosen colleges. The counseling process is for admissions into engineering programs at participating private colleges in Karnataka. Only those who have successfully verified their documents can move on to the step where they pick their choices.

COMEDK 2026 Round 1 Counselling Important Dates

The first round starts with a practice session for choosing colleges and continues through the period when students can cancel their seat choices in late July. Below is the complete list of dates. 

Registration Fee and Eligibility

The registration fee for COMEDK 2026 counseling is Rs 2,000, which is not refundable and needs to be paid online via the PayU payment gateway. Only students who registered before June 12 are allowed to take part in Round 1. Document verification for all registered candidates was completed by June 30, 2026. Those who didn't complete verification cannot take part in the choice-filling step.

How to Fill Choices for COMEDK Round 1 Counselling 2026?

1. Go to the official COMEDK website at comedk.org.
2. Use your UGET application number and password to log in.
3. Find the Round 1 choice filling option under the counseling section.
4. Pick your preferred colleges and courses in order of your choice.
5. Save your choices and lock the final list before July 16.
6. Candidates who leave their choice form blank after Round 1 will not be allowed to take part in later rounds.
7. Choices made in the mock round will not be carried forward automatically.

How to Check the COMEDK Round 1 Seat Allotment Result?

The seat allotment result for Round 1 will be posted on July 17, 2026. Students need to log in using their login details. The result page will show the assigned college, course, and category. Those who are allotted seats must pay the college fee and report to the campus within the given time period. Only those who select the Accept and Freeze option will be able to keep their allocated seat. Reporting must be done strictly before the deadline.

2. Take part in the mock round between July 11 and July 13.
