CMAT 2027 Registration Likely to Begin in October 2026: Expected Dates, Fees and Application Process
Published 13 Sept 20264 min read
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has not yet released the official CMAT 2027 notification. Based on last year's cycle, the registration window is expected to open around the third week of October 2026, with the exam likely to be held in the last week of January 2027. These dates are estimates drawn from the CMAT 2026 schedule and are not official until NTA confirms them.
The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national-level entrance exam for admission to MBA/PGDM and allied management programmes at AICTE-approved institutions across India.
CMAT 2027 Expected Dates at a Glance
| Event | CMAT 2027 Dates (Expected, not yet confirmed by NTA) |
|---|---|
| Registration opens | Third week of October 2026 |
| Registration closes | Last week of November 2026 |
| Admit card release | Third week of January 2027 |
| Exam date | Last week of January 2027 |
| Answer key | Last week of January 2027 |

Independent education-news trackers show slightly varying estimates within this same broad window — some place the exam around January 24–25, 2027, and the result around mid-February 2027 — underscoring that these are all projections, not confirmed dates.
Why These Dates Are Expected
The estimate is based directly on the CMAT 2026 cycle: NTA opened CMAT 2026 registration on October 17, 2025, with an original deadline of November 17, 2025 that was later extended to November 24, 2025. The CMAT 2026 exam followed in January 2026. If NTA follows a similar annual cadence for the 2027 cycle, registration would open around mid-to-late October 2026 — but only an official NTA notification can confirm this.
CMAT 2027 Expected Exam Pattern
Based on the CMAT 2026 format, the exam is expected to:
- Be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across designated test centres, possibly in two sessions on a single day.
- Carry 100 questions across five sections: Verbal Ability, Quantitative Techniques, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
NTA will confirm the exact pattern only when it releases the CMAT 2027 information bulletin.
