CMAT 2027 Exam Date Announced: Check February 7 Date, Registration and Eligibility Updates

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the proposed examination date for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2027 through its Examination Calendar 2026-27. As per the calendar, CMAT 2027 is scheduled to be conducted on February 7, 2027. The NTA examination calendar was released on September 16, 2026, and covers several major national-level examinations scheduled between December 2026 and March 2027. NTA has described the dates in the calendar as tentative/proposed, meaning the schedule may be revised due to administrative, logistical or other applicable reasons. The detailed CMAT 2027 information bulletin and application notification are yet to be issued. Therefore, the registration dates, application fee, detailed eligibility conditions and other examination-specific information should not be treated as final until NTA releases the official CMAT 2027 notice.

CMAT 2027 Exam Date: Key Details

NTA's calendar provides the February 7 date, while the detailed CMAT notification will establish the examination-specific schedule and rules.

Is CMAT 2027 Exam Date Confirmed?

The February 7, 2027 date has been included in NTA's official examination calendar. However, the calendar itself describes the dates as tentative/proposed. Candidates should therefore distinguish between the calendar date and the final examination schedule that will be notified through the CMAT 2027 information bulletin. NTA has used the calendar to announce the proposed schedule for several examinations, including JEE Main 2027, CMAT 2027 and CUET PG 2027.

When Will CMAT 2027 Registration Begin?

The CMAT 2027 registration date has not yet been officially announced by NTA. Candidates should not treat expected dates circulating on education websites or social media as confirmed application dates. Current reporting has suggested that registration could begin in October 2026, but this remains an expectation until NTA publishes the application notice.

The official notification is expected to provide information on:

• Registration start date
• Last date to apply
• Application fee
• Eligibility criteria
• Application correction window
• Examination-city selection
• Admit-card schedule
• Examination instructions

Who Will Be Eligible for CMAT 2027?

The detailed eligibility requirements for CMAT 2027 are yet to be published. Under previous CMAT admission cycles, the examination has been open to candidates holding a bachelor's degree in any discipline, with final-year graduation candidates also permitted to apply subject to the applicable conditions. However, candidates should wait for the CMAT 2027 Information Bulletin for the final eligibility rules rather than assuming that every previous condition will remain unchanged.

CMAT 2027 Application Process

Once NTA opens the registration window, candidates will generally need to complete the application process online through the designated CMAT portal.

The expected process is:

1. Open the official CMAT/NTA website.
2. Select the CMAT 2027 registration link.
3. Complete the candidate registration using a valid email address and mobile number.
4. Enter personal, academic and communication details.
5. Upload the required photograph, signature and other documents in the prescribed format.
6. Complete the applicable fee payment.
7. Review the application form carefully.
8. Submit the application.
9. Download and save the confirmation page.

The exact sequence, document specifications and payment options should be followed from the CMAT 2027 application notice once released.

CMAT 2027 Application Fee

The CMAT 2027 application fee has not been announced yet. Candidates should not rely on previous-year fee amounts for the 2027 cycle. NTA will specify the applicable fee for different candidate categories in the official application notification.

CMAT 2027 Exam Pattern

The final CMAT 2027 exam pattern is also awaiting the detailed NTA bulletin. For context, NTA's official CMAT 2026 examination notice specified a 180-minute CBT.

However, candidates should not assume that every 2026 examination detail automatically applies to CMAT 2027. The 2027 information bulletin will be the appropriate source for confirming:

• Total questions
• Number of sections
• Section-wise questions
• Exam duration
• Marking scheme
• Negative marking
• Language
• Test-city details

CMAT Exam Date Trend

The examination date has varied across recent CMAT editions:

The historical dates show that the examination has not followed one fixed calendar date every year. Therefore, the February 7, 2027 date should be followed as the current NTA calendar date, while candidates should continue monitoring the official notification for any revision. NTA's official records confirm January 25 as the examination date for both CMAT 2025 and CMAT 2026.

What Should CMAT 2027 Candidates Do Now?

Candidates do not need to wait for the application form to begin preparation.

They can use this period to:

1. Track the NTA and CMAT official websites.
2. Keep academic documents ready.
3. Prepare a recent photograph and signature in digital format.
4. Review the previous CMAT syllabus and examination structure for initial preparation.
