- Click on the Counselling link and then select Allotment list.
- Next, click on the download fifth round allotment list and look for your name and roll number to see which NLU and program you have been allotted.
What Should You Do After Seat Allotment?
If you are allotted a seat, you have three options to choose from:
- Freezing: You can confirm the seat you have been allotted and end the counseling process.
- Floating: You can keep the seat you have been given but still have the chance to get a better seat in a preferred NLU.
- Exiting: You can leave the counseling process.
However, this means you will lose the seat you were given. You need to pick one of these options and pay the confirmation fee by May 20, 2026, at 1 PM. The confirmation fee is not refundable and will be taken from your university fees. If you choose freezing, you must pay the remaining university fees by May 30, 2026.
Refund and Important Information
Candidates who leave before May 8, 2026, will get their full counseling registration fee back. However, if they leave after May 8, they will have to pay a deduction of INR 5,000. If a candidate freezes their seat and later withdraws after May 30, they will not only lose the INR 5,000 deduction but also their confirmation fee.
Approximately 24 National Law Universities conduct counseling through CLAT. These include NLSIU, NALSAR University of Law, and Gujarat National Law University.
