Published 30 Sept 20262 min read8 Views
The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has not announced dates for the CLAT 2027 application correction window. Registration is ongoing and closes on 31 October 2026 at 11:59 PM. Based on earlier cycles, candidates can expect the correction facility around or after the registration deadline. That is only an indication, not an official schedule. CLAT 2027 will be held on 6 December 2026 in offline mode.
CLAT 2027: Key Facts
| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Conducting body | Consortium of NLUs |
| Registration deadline | 31 October 2026, 11:59 PM |
| Correction window | Not announced [VERIFY] |
| Exam date | 6 December 2026 |
| Exam mode | Offline |
| Official website | consortiumofnlus.ac.in |
When Will the Correction Window Open?
There is no confirmed date. In the last two cycles, the Consortium allowed corrections around or shortly after the application deadline:
| Cycle | Correction deadline |
|---|---|
| CLAT 2025 | 25 October [VERIFY year] |
| CLAT 2026 | 9 November |
By that pattern, a correction facility after 31 October 2026 is likely. The Consortium may announce a different timeline, so check its website regularly.
Test-Centre Change: Vellore and Tiruvarur
The Consortium has removed Vellore and Tiruvarur from the CLAT 2027 test-centre list [VERIFY]. Candidates who chose either city must select another one. According to the source, they can edit the exam city until 31 October.
How to Edit the CLAT 2027 Application Form
- Go to consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
- Open the CLAT 2027 candidate login portal.
- Log in with your credentials.
- Select the application correction or edit option.
- Make the permitted changes.
- Save and submit the form.
Button names may differ once the window opens [VERIFY]. Last year the edit option was in the candidate account, and city changes were made under a Preferences tab.
What Candidates May Be Able to Edit
The Consortium has not confirmed the editable fields for 2027. Earlier notifications allowed candidates to review:
- Test centre/location preferences
- Name
- Date of birth
- Programme applied for, where permitted
- Reservation eligibility
- Other details the Consortium enables
Avoid These Mistakes Before You Submit
- Typing your name or date of birth incorrectly
- Using inactive contact details
- Ignoring document size and dimension guidelines
- Using outdated certificates
- Confusing state and central certificates
Do Not Wait for the Correction Window
Complete the application and pay the fee before 31 October 2026. An application without a successful fee payment is incomplete. Do not assume a correction window will let you pay later. Check the official notice.
