The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Chhattisgarh, has announced that the online registration and fee payment window for Round 1 of NEET UG counselling is set to close on August 4, 2025. This is the final opportunity for all eligible candidates seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses under the state quota to complete their application process.

The registration process, which began on July 29, includes fresh registration, payment of a non-refundable counselling fee, and the choice filling and locking process. This Round 1 counselling is for the 85% state quota seats in government and private medical and dental colleges in Chhattisgarh.


Key Dates and Next Steps for Aspirants:

Candidates who have successfully registered must also complete the choice filling and locking process. The schedule for the subsequent steps has also been released by the DME:

  • Registration and Fee Payment Deadline: August 4, 2025
  • Choice Filling and Locking: The window for filling and locking college choices will remain open until August 5, 2025.
  • Publication of State Merit List: The provisional state merit list will be published on August 6, 2025.
  • Seat Allotment Result: The result for Round 1 seat allotment is scheduled to be released on August 8, 2025.
  • Reporting to Colleges: Candidates allotted a seat will be required to report to their respective colleges for document verification and admission formalities between August 9 and August 14, 2025.

The DME has urged candidates to finalize their choices carefully and ensure all required documents are ready for the in-person verification process. Aspirants are advised to regularly check the official portal, cgdme.admissions.nic.in, for all updates.
