The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Puducherry, has officially opened the online registration for Round 2 of the NEET 2025 counselling for admission to various medical and dental courses. This is a crucial opportunity for aspirants who wish to secure a seat in the government and private medical colleges in the Union Territory. The registration window, which includes submitting willingness and course preferences, will remain open until September 9, 2025, at 5 PM.

This second round of counselling is a pivotal step for candidates who were not allotted a seat in the first round or wish to upgrade their current college or course. The process is also open to those who did not participate in the previous round. It is important to note that candidates who have been allotted a seat in Round 1 and wish to resign must do so by September 1, 2025, to be eligible for the next rounds.

Registration Fees and Key Information

The registration for this round requires a non-refundable fee, which varies based on the quota and category:

  • Government Quota: ₹10,000 for General (GE), EWS, OBC, MBC, EBC, BCM, and BT candidates. The fee is ₹5,000 for SC/ST/PwD/GSS candidates.
  • Management & NRI Quota: A fee of ₹2,00,000 is applicable for candidates applying under these quotas.

CENTAC has a well-defined reservation policy, with specific percentages allocated for various categories, including Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC). Aspirants are advised to carefully check the official information bulletin for detailed eligibility criteria and document requirements.

How to Apply

The entire application process is conducted online through the official CENTAC website. Candidates are required to log in with their credentials, pay the registration fee, and then fill in their choices of colleges and courses in order of preference. The seat allotment for Round 2 will be based on the candidate's NEET score, state rank, and their preferences, as well as the availability of seats.
