The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Puducherry, has launched the final phase of admissions for the academic year 2025-26, inviting fresh applications for the Stray Round of counselling for unfilled seats in BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) and BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) courses. This is a critical last-chance opportunity for NEET-UG qualified candidates seeking admission into Dental and Ayurveda colleges in the Union Territory of Puducherry.

Aspirants must note the extremely strict deadline for registration and application submission. The window will close on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 5:00 PM.

Registration and Submission Details

CENTAC has explicitly opened the application portal to allow fresh registrations for candidates who have NEET-UG 2025 qualification but may not have registered or participated in the previous rounds (Round 1, Round 2, or Mop-Up Round).

  • Application Deadline: November 15, 2025, up to 5:00 PM.
  • Mode of Application: Online only, via the official CENTAC website.
  • Target Courses: Exclusively for remaining vacant seats in BDS and BAMS courses across Government, Management, and NRI Quotas in the UT's medical and ayurveda colleges.

Candidates who are already registered with CENTAC must simply use their dashboard login credentials to submit their willingness to participate, pay the required tuition fees/security deposits, and submit fresh course preferences for the Stray Round.

Eligibility and Important Instructions

The primary purpose of the Stray Round is to fill every available seat before the admission process officially concludes. While the preference will be given to candidates already included in the existing CENTAC merit list, freshly registered candidates will be considered for allotment only after exhausting the entire existing merit list of previously registered aspirants.

Key instructions for all participating candidates include:

  1. Mandatory Undertaking: Every candidate participating in the Stray Round must submit an Undertaking Certificate (Declaration Form) as specified in the official notification. Failure to submit this declaration will lead to the cancellation of the candidate's consideration for allotment.
  2. Seat Forfeiture: Candidates who are allotted a seat in the Stray Round and fail to join the allotted college within the stipulated time frame will face forfeiture of their paid tuition/security fees.
  3. Tuition Fee Payment: Unlike initial rounds where only a partial fee may be paid, participation in the Stray Round typically requires the upfront payment of the Full Tuition Fee to CENTAC, which is then adjusted upon admission.
  4. Finality of Allotment: The Stray Round is the final stage of the centralized counselling process. The allotment made in this round is generally considered final, with no further provision for withdrawal or sliding.

Aspirants should meticulously check the official vacancy position published on the CENTAC website before submitting their applications and choices to ensure they are targeting actively vacant seats. This opportunity is the absolute last chance to secure a seat for the BDS or BAMS academic session in Puducherry. For all procedural changes and results, follow Only Education News closely.
