Registration for counseling for CCMT 2026 for admission to the M.Tech course is now open. All those candidates who participated in the GATE 2026 exam and fulfilled the eligibility norms can start the registration process and fill in their preferences. Applicants can start registering from May 15, 2026, at 10:00 am. 10:00 and must complete the technique by 5 June 2026, as much as possible. The election will be held at 17:30 on 8 June 2026.
The entire procedure will take approximately an hour online through the website. Students are supposed to go through some steps like registration, price on price, preference filling, and finally getting seat allotment. It is a series of 3 routine rounds followed by a few special and nationwide spot rounds, which allow applicants many opportunities to be included in their favorite group.

How do you register and fill out an election?
Go to ccmt.recordings.nic.in and click on the link to register. You need to offer your GATE roll number along with other important data and create an account. With the last type of registration, you have to pay for consultancy rates through UPI, debit card, credit card, or online banking. After the payment method, visit the CCMT portal and go to the option-filling page.
Choose your favorite institutions and mentors in order. You can change or adjust your alternatives a few times before the deadline. It is important that your choices must be locked through 8 June 25, 2026, 10:00 AM If your selections are not locked manually, they will usually be locked after the due date.
What happens after selecting a seat?
The seat allocation method starts after termination of the wish fulfillment technique. The final result of the 1st round of distribution could be announced on June 12, 2026. Seat providers will pay the seat acceptance fee and upload important files for verification. After the seats were allotted to candidates, they can decide whether to move to Freeze, Float, or Slide primarily based on their admission selection.
Candidates who are not allotted any seat in the 1st round could be known to the 2nd round on June 22, 2026, and round three on June 27, 2026.
Special Rounds and National Spot Round
Candidates who have not been allotted any seat at some stage in the above rounds can participate in the individual rounds starting from 14th July 2026. The National Mock Round starts on 1 August 2026.
These are several opportunities for applicants to gain admission. Physical notification of proposed institutions will begin as soon as the National Spot Round is completed.
