CAT 2026 Correction Window: Live Updates on Opening Date, Editable Fields and Process
IIM Indore has not yet opened the CAT 2026 application correction window, and no official date has been released so far. Once activated, the edit facility will let registered candidates update their photograph, signature, or test city preference on the official portal, iimcat.ac.in — but nothing else.
What is the CAT correction window?
It's a short, one-time edit period offered after the CAT registration deadline, meant to fix genuine errors in specific fields — not a chance to refill the form. Once the window closes, no further changes are accepted under any circumstances.
Expected dates
IIM Indore hasn't confirmed a schedule yet, but past cycles offer a useful guide:

Historically, the window tends to open within roughly a week of the registration deadline closing, so candidates should start checking iimcat.ac.in regularly from now on rather than waiting for a specific date.
Fields you can edit — and fields you can't
Editable:
- Photograph (if blurred, wrong size, or non-compliant)
- Signature (if faint, clipped, or improperly scanned)
- Test city preferences (can be reordered or changed from the available list)
Locked — cannot be changed at all:
- Full name
- Date of birth
- Primary email address
- Mobile number
- State
- Reservation category
If any of these locked fields contain an error, the only route is to contact the CAT helpdesk directly with valid government ID for manual review — the correction window itself won't help.
How to edit your form
- Go to iimcat.ac.in and select "Registered Candidate Login."
- Log in with your User ID and password.
- Open the application tab and update only the permitted fields.
- Accept the declaration and submit.
- Download and save the confirmation page that appears after submission — this is your only proof of the change.
The dashboard locks permanently after one submission, so review everything before hitting submit.
Photograph and signature specifications
A revised photo must be a recent (within six months), passport-style colour image with a white background, in JPG/JPEG format, with no caps, sunglasses, or other accessories. A revised signature must be signed on white paper in black ink, scanned sharply and unblurred — signatures written entirely in capital letters are rejected.
Test city changes
Candidates can pick alternate cities from the listed options, but final allotment still depends on seat capacity at each centre — a change in preference doesn't guarantee that city.
Is there a fee?
No. IIM Indore does not charge any additional fee for the correction facility, and this applies across all reserved and unreserved categories.
What happens next
Once the window closes, forms are locked for the rest of the cycle. CAT 2026 will be held on November 29 in three slots, with slot timing confirmed on the admit card. Candidates should keep checking iimcat.ac.in for both the correction-window activation and the subsequent admit card release.
