What can be edited
- Photograph: replace a blurred, wrongly sized or non-compliant photo.
- Signature: re-upload a clearer signature.
- Test city preferences: change your preferred exam cities.
What cannot be changed: full name, date of birth, primary email address, mobile number and state. Note that the name could be edited in the 2025 cycle but is locked this year.
How to edit your CAT 2026 form
- Log in at iimcat.ac.in with your user ID and password once the window opens.
- Go to the editable sections of the form.
- Upload the revised photograph or signature, or change your city preferences.
- Review the changes carefully.
- Submit, then download and save the updated confirmation page.
Prepare your new photo and signature files in advance, following the size and format instructions on the portal. If you forgot your user ID or password, use the "Forgot User ID/Password" option.
If a locked field has an error: contact the CAT helpdesk through the official website. A resolution is not guaranteed.
What happens next: after the correction window, the admit card is due on 4 November, and the exam follows on 29 November 2026. Check every printed entry on the admit card and report any mismatch to the helpdesk.
Still to verify
- Admit card (4 November) and result (first week of January 2027): I didn't re-check these today. They were in yesterday's published version, so confirm against the official schedule.
- Direct link: your source includes an iimcat.ac.in link, but the window isn't open until 5 October. I'd keep it as "iimcat.ac.in" and add the direct link when the window goes live.
- Update the dateModified in schema to today's date and time.
