BITSAT 2026 Withdrawal Window 2 Opens; Apply Online for Seat Exit and Refund

Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, has opened the second withdrawal window for BITSAT 2026. This window is now active on the official website at admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in. Candidates who want to leave their assigned seat can now apply online. This withdrawal option is only available for candidates who have already paid the admission fee. It is for students who no longer want the program or campus they were assigned. To get a refund, candidates must formally request it through the portal. Just not showing up for reporting won’t qualify them for a refund.

What is BITSAT 2026 Withdrawal Window 2?

Withdrawal Window 2 is the second opportunity for candidates who have been assigned a seat to withdraw. It comes after Iteration 3 and before Iteration 4 of the counseling process. Seats that are vacated during this window are then made available again in the next round, helping candidates who are waiting to move up in the merit list.

Refund Policy for BITSAT 2026 Withdrawal

For candidates who withdraw through the official window, the refund process is straightforward. A flat fee of Rs 1,000 is deducted from the admission fee, and the remaining amount is transferred to the candidate's registered bank account. Refunds are processed after the full 2026 admission cycle concludes. Only those who submit their withdrawal requests online within the window will receive their refunds.

How to Submit a BITSAT 2026 Withdrawal Request?

The entire process is done online using your application number and password. You need to log in to the same portal where you accepted your seat.

1. Visit the official website at admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in.
2. Click on the Candidate Login link on the home page.
3. Enter your BITSAT application number and your registered password.
4. Go to the withdrawal section on your candidate dashboard.
5. Read the refund terms and confirm your withdrawal request.
6. Download the confirmation slip for your records.

Who Should Consider Withdrawing?

This withdrawal window is suitable for candidates who have received better admission offers elsewhere.
Common reasons include getting a seat at an IIT, NIT, or a preferred private institute. Students who are confident about a better BITSAT allotment usually do not withdraw. Once a withdrawal is processed through the portal, it is a final decision. The candidate cannot re-enter the current cycle for the seat they have withdrawn.
