Bihar UGEAC 2026 Seat Matrix Released; Choice Filling Begins June 26

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has released the Undergraduate Engineering Admission Counselling (UGEAC) 2026 seat matrix. This document is now available on the official website at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. The board made it public on June 23, 2026, along with the rank card. The seat matrix provides information on the number of seats available at each college and branch. It includes all government engineering colleges in Bihar. Admission to these seats depends on the JEE Main 2026 results. A direct link to the seat matrix PDF is provided. Candidates can also find it on the UGEAC 2026 notice board on the BCECEB website. Out of all the seats available, 85 percent are set aside for Bihar domicile candidates.
The remaining 15 percent are part of the All India quota.The reserved categories within the state quota are based on Bihar government guidelines.

Downloading the seat matrix is easy. It can be accessed by all without needing to log in.

2. Click on the UGEAC 2026 notice board section.
3. Open the link labeled Seat Matrix for UGEAC 2026.

5. Download and save the file for future use.

How to Fill Choices for Bihar UGEAC 2026?

Choice filling is available on June 26, 2026, on the BCECEB portal. Candidates must complete this step by logging in with their rank card.

Steps to fill choices

1. Log in to bceceboard.bihar.gov.in using your UGEAC user ID.
2. Click on the choice filling link under UGEAC 2026.
3. Select your preferred colleges and branches in order of your choice.
4. Review your selections on the preview screen.
5. Lock your choices before the July 1 deadline.
6. Choices not locked by the deadline will be automatically locked by the system.
7. Once locked, candidates cannot make changes.

Who Is Eligible for Bihar UGEAC 2026?

Eligibility is determined by BCECEB as stated in the UGEAC 2026 prospectus. Only those meeting all the criteria can participate in the counselling.

To be eligible, a candidate must:

• Have a valid JEE Main 2026 score.
• Be on the UGEAC 2026 merit list.
• Be a Bihar domicile for the 85 percent state quota seats.
• Have passed Class 12 with physics, chemistry, and mathematics.
