BCECEB Resumes NEET 2025 Counselling, Round 1 Document Verification Ends Today

In a crucial development for medical aspirants in Bihar, the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has officially re-initiated the NEET UG 2025 counselling process. The Round 1 document verification, which was temporarily put on hold, has now been resumed, and aspirants have until today, August 29, 2025, to complete the verification and download their allotment orders.

This resumption is a significant step for thousands of candidates vying for the 2,545 state quota MBBS and BDS seats in Bihar's government and private medical and dental colleges. The previous deferral of the process was due to an identified technical glitch concerning the allotment of "Self Finance" seats at the Bihar Veterinary College (BVC), Patna. The BCECEB has clarified that this issue was limited to BVC and did not affect allotments for other colleges.

Mandatory Documents for Verification

To successfully complete the admission process, candidates must report to their designated centers with a comprehensive set of original documents and their self-attested copies. It is crucial to have all these papers in order to avoid any last-minute complications. The required documents include:

• NEET UG 2025 Admit Card and Scorecard
• Class 10 and 12 Mark Sheets and Certificates
• Birth Certificate
• Category and Domicile Certificates (if applicable)
• Passport-size photographs
• Migration Certificate
• Medical Fitness Certificate

Next Steps for Aspirants

Candidates who were affected by the technical issue at BVC, Patna, and could not fill in their choices for the "Self Finance" seats will have a fresh opportunity to do so during the upcoming Round 2 counselling of UGMAC 2025. The detailed schedule for Round 2, including the dates for fresh choice filling and seat allotment, is expected to be released by the BCECEB soon after the completion of the Round 1 verification process.

For aspirants, it is imperative to remain vigilant and keep track of all official announcements on the BCECEB website. For timely and accurate updates on medical admissions and other academic news, make sure to follow Only Education News.
