AYUSH NEET UG Counselling: Today is the Last Day to Register for BAMS, BHMS, and other Courses

Today marks a critical deadline for all medical aspirants aiming for a career in traditional and alternative medicine. The AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) is set to close the registration and choice-filling window for the first round of AYUSH NEET UG Counselling 2025 at 11:55 P.M. The counselling is for admission to undergraduate courses in Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) at various government and private institutions across the country.

This is the final opportunity for qualified candidates to register and submit their preferences for BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, and BSMS courses. The registration process, which began on August 22, requires candidates to register on the official website, aaccc.gov.in, pay the required fee, and fill in their choices of colleges and courses. The official counselling schedule confirms that the payment facility will also close today at 5:00 P.M.

Important Dates and Next Steps

For all registered candidates, today is also the last day for choice locking, which is available from 2:00 P.M. until the deadline. Choice locking is a crucial step that finalizes the candidate's preferences, and failure to do so will result in their choices not being considered for seat allotment.

The seat allotment result for the first round is scheduled to be declared on September 4, 2025. Candidates will be able to view their allotted college and course by logging into their accounts on the AACCC portal. Following the result, the official schedule indicates that candidates will have a specific window, from September 5 to September 12, to report to their allotted institutions for document verification and admission.

Key Considerations for Aspirants

With over 52,000 seats available across all AYUSH courses, this year's counselling offers a significant number of opportunities. Aspirants should take a moment to carefully review the seat matrix for their respective courses and make their choices wisely. The seat allotment is based on the candidate's NEET UG 2025 rank, their filled choices, and applicable reservation policies.

Candidates are strongly advised to prepare all their required documents well in advance of the reporting period. This includes the NEET UG 2025 scorecard, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, identity proof, and other relevant certificates.

While this marks the end of Round 1 registration, students who do not get an allotment or are not satisfied with their allotted seat should not lose hope. The AACCC's counselling scheme includes subsequent rounds, including a second round, a third round (mop-up), and a stray vacancy round. This means more opportunities will follow, with Round 2 counselling scheduled to begin in mid-September.
