The February session of the AIMS Test for Management Admissions, popularly known as ATMA 2026, was successfully conducted yesterday, February 22. Thousands of MBA aspirants across the country appeared for the computer-based test at various centers. As the exam has concluded, the focus has now shifted toward the result declaration and the subsequent admission process in top management institutes.

According to the official schedule released by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS), the ATMA result for the February session is set to be announced on February 28, 2026. Candidates will be able to download their official scorecards from the AIMS ATMA portal starting in the afternoon. To access the results, students will need their PID (Personal Identification Number) and the password created during the registration process.

Initial Exam Analysis and Difficulty Level

Preliminary feedback from candidates suggests that the ATMA 2026 exam followed its traditional pattern of 180 questions spread across six sections. Each section was timed for 30 minutes. Students reported that while the Verbal Skills sections were relatively easy to moderate, the Quantitative Skills sections were quite calculation-heavy and time-consuming.

The analysis provided by educational experts indicates that the Analytical Reasoning section featured a mix of arrangement-based puzzles and critical reasoning questions. Most students found this section to be of moderate difficulty. The marking scheme remains strict, with +1 mark for every correct answer and a negative marking of -0.25 for every incorrect response.

Analytical Reasoning (Part 1 & 2)60Moderate
Verbal Skills (Part 1 & 2)60Easy to Moderate

What’s Next for Candidates?

Once the results are out on February 28, the scores will be sent to the five institutions that candidates selected during their registration. These scores are valid for admission to various PGDM, MBA, MCA, and MMS programs. Over 200 management institutes across India accept ATMA 2026 scores for their selection process.

Students are advised to keep a printed copy of their scorecard, as it is a mandatory document for the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. For those who may not be satisfied with their February performance, AIMS conducts the exam four times a year. The registration for the next session in May is expected to begin shortly after the February results are declared.
