The Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (AP ICET) 2026 has been successfully conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, on behalf of APSCHE. The exam was held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across 25 districts in Andhra Pradesh. Both Slot 1 (9:00 AM to 11:30 AM) and Slot 2 (2:00 PM to 4:30 PM) have now concluded smoothly, with candidates reporting a moderate overall difficulty level.
As per initial student reactions and exam analysis, the paper maintained a balanced structure, covering three key sections — Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability, and Communication Ability — with a total of 200 multiple-choice questions. Notably, there was no negative marking, allowing candidates to attempt maximum questions without penalty.
In Slot 1, the Analytical Ability section was considered easy, while Mathematical Ability and Communication Ability were rated moderate. Overall, the difficulty level remained moderate, making the exam manageable for well-prepared candidates. In Slot 2, candidates found the Communication Ability section relatively easy, whereas Analytical and Mathematical sections were moderate in difficulty. The overall level for Slot 2 was also moderate.
The exam followed a standard pattern with a duration of 150 minutes and no sectional time limits. The question paper was available in English and Telugu, ensuring accessibility for a wide range of candidates.
Some memory-based questions reported by candidates included topics such as average speed calculations, coding-decoding patterns, number series, and basic compound interest problems. These indicate a focus on fundamental concepts and logical reasoning.
Candidates were required to carry essential documents, including a valid ID proof, AP ICET hall ticket, and a recent passport-size photograph. Strict exam guidelines were followed, and late entry was not permitted once the exam commenced.
The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) is expected to release the preliminary answer key on May 5, 2026. Along with the answer key, candidates will also be able to access their response sheets and question papers, enabling them to estimate their scores and raise objections if necessary.
Based on expert analysis, a score above 170 is expected to secure a top rank, while scores between 140–160 may result in ranks within the top 200. Candidates scoring above 100 can still expect a decent rank, depending on overall performance trends.
Overall, AP ICET 2026 was a student-friendly exam with a moderate level of difficulty, giving fair opportunities to candidates aiming for MBA and MCA admissions in Andhra Pradesh.
