The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has officially opened the correction window for the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (AP ICET) 2026. As of April 7, 2026, the online facility is active, allowing registered students to rectify errors in their submitted application forms. This phase is a crucial opportunity for students to ensure their data is accurate before the hall tickets are generated for the upcoming entrance exam.

Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, which is conducting the exam on behalf of APSCHE, provides this facility only to those who completed their registration before the final deadline of April 5. Since the registration portal is now closed for new entries, the focus has shifted entirely to data verification and correction. The correction window is typically available for a very limited duration, making it imperative for every applicant to review their profile immediately.

Categorization of Corrections

The editing process is divided into two distinct categories based on the nature of the information. Category 1 includes sensitive details that cannot be changed directly by the student through the portal. These details include the candidate's name, father’s name, date of birth, signature, photograph, and qualifying examination hall ticket number. To change these, an applicant must send a formal request to the Convener via email at helpdeskapicet@apsche.org, along with supporting documents like the SSC mark list or relevant certificates.

Category 2 consists of details that can be edited directly by logging into the official website. This includes the mother’s name, gender, place of study, degree passing year, address for correspondence, and mobile number. Most candidates use this window to update their local area status or special reservation category. It is important to note that the test center preference cannot be changed during this period as the allotment process is already in progress based on the initial choices.

Verification and Hall Ticket Generation

Accuracy during this phase is vital because the information finalized now will appear on the official hall ticket. The admit card, scheduled for release on April 15, will serve as the primary identity document at the examination center. If there is a mismatch between the hall ticket and the student’s actual credentials, they may face disqualification at the test center. Therefore, every applicant must verify that their Category 2 details are perfectly aligned with their academic records.

The merit ranking and subsequent counselling process also rely heavily on the data provided in the application. For instance, incorrect information regarding the community or reservation status could lead to the cancellation of an allotted seat during the admission phase. The council has clarified that no further opportunities for corrections will be provided once this window closes at midnight.

Preparation for the May 2 Exam

With the correction phase concluding, the countdown to the May 2 examination has begun. The AP ICET 2026 will be conducted in a computer-based format across various districts in Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad. The test will evaluate candidates on analytical ability, mathematical ability, and communication skills. As the merit list will be based on a total of 200 marks, ensuring a clean and accurate application form is the first step toward a successful admission into MBA or MCA programs.

The opening of the AP ICET 2026 correction window marks the final administrative step before the issuance of hall tickets. For every applicant, this is the last chance to ensure that their registration data is error-free. Whether it involves updating personal details via the portal or seeking manual corrections for Category 1 items, prompt action is required. The merit of the selection process depends on accurate data, and students must take full responsibility for the information they confirm. As the admit cards are prepared for release on April 15, the focus now shifts toward the final month of academic preparation for the test on May 2.
