AIEED 2026 Registrations Continue Into Year-End; Situation Test Phase Nex

As December 2025 draws to a close, the ARCH College of Design & Business remains a focal point for design aspirants nationwide. The All India Entrance Examination for Design (AIEED) 2026 registration process is currently active, providing a gateway for creative minds to enter prestigious Undergraduate (B.Des) and Postgraduate (M.Des) programs. Unlike traditional competitive exams, AIEED 2026 focuses on a candidate’s "attitude" and "design sensitivity" through a comprehensive multi-stage screening process.

With the initial online screening phases—General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT)—underway, the focus is now shifting toward the critical on-campus evaluation. Aspirants must act quickly to finalize their digital portfolios and Statement of Purpose (SoP) to qualify for the next level of interaction.

Key Deadlines and Examination Timeline

The admission cycle for the 2026 academic batch follows a structured timeline designed to assess psychological consonance and creative problem-solving skills. Candidates should note the following milestones:

• Registration Window: The online application portal, which opened on November 1, 2025, continues to accept submissions through the end of the year.
• Screening Phases: Stage 1 and Stage 2 (GAT & CAT) are conducted in multiple online slots, allowing students to choose a time that fits their schedule.
• Situation Test & GD: The much-anticipated on-campus Situation Test and Group Discussion are scheduled for April 6 to April 18, 2026, at the Jaipur campus.
• Academic Session: Finalized results will lead to the commencement of the new batch on June 15, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria for Aspiring Designers

AIEED 2026 is known for its inclusive eligibility standards, welcoming students from Science, Commerce, and Humanities backgrounds.

• Undergraduate (UG) Level: Candidates must have cleared or be appearing for Class 12 exams from a recognized board (CBSE, ICSE, IB, or State Boards).
• Provisional Entry: Students currently in Class 11 are also eligible to participate in the screening to secure a seat for the 2027 session early.
• Postgraduate (PG) Level: Applicants should hold a graduation degree in any discipline or be in their final year of study.
• Skill Assessment: Candidates are evaluated on empathy, perseverance, focus, and their ability to generate multiple solutions for situational problems.

Preparation Strategy for the April Phase

As the Situation Test approaches, candidates must transition from theoretical knowledge to practical, three-dimensional visualization. This phase evaluates how you handle materials and articulate design thoughts clearly in a collaborative environment.

• Portfolio Refinement: Consolidate your best work into a cohesive Portfolio of Abilities (PoA) that highlights your unique creative journey.
• Interactive Skills: Practice for the Group Discussion by focusing on interpersonal communication and the ability to explain conceptual ideas.
• Material Handling: For the on-campus test, experiment with diverse materials to solve design prompts within strict time constraints.

In conclusion, the year-end marks a pivotal moment for all AIEED 2026 aspirants. As you finalize your applications, ensure that all documentation is accurate and your portfolio reflects your true creative potential. Applicants are strongly advised to regularly monitor the official AIEED portal to book their specific interaction slots and track their screening status.
