The ARCH College of Design & Business is currently moving through the active phases of the All India Entrance Examination for Design (AIEED) 2026. As a premier gateway for students aspiring to join B. Des and M. Des programs, the screening process is uniquely designed to evaluate a candidate's creative "attitude" rather than just traditional academic "aptitude." With the prestigious on-campus Situation Test scheduled for April 2026, candidates must ensure their initial registration and digital portfolio submissions are completed without delay.

AIEED 2026 Multi-Stage Screening Timeline

The selection process at ARCH is a comprehensive journey that transitions from online assessments to physical evaluations. Understanding the timeline is vital for strategic preparation.

  • Application Window: Registration remains open for the 2026 academic batch, allowing students to select their preferred online screening slots.
  • Stage I & II: These involve the submission of the Portfolio of Abilities (PoA) and Statement of Purpose (SoP), followed by online interaction and counseling.
  • The April Phase: The on-campus Situation Test and Group Discussion (GD) are scheduled specifically for April 6 to April 18, 2026.
  • Batch Commencement: Selected candidates will begin their academic session at the Jaipur campus on June 15, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria for Aspiring Designers

AIEED is known for its inclusive eligibility standards, welcoming creative minds from diverse academic streams including Science, Commerce, and Humanities.

  • Undergraduate (B. Des): Candidates who have passed or are appearing for Class 12 (CBSE, ICSE, IB, or State Boards) are eligible.
  • Provisional Entry: Students currently in Class 11 can also appear for the screening to secure a seat for the subsequent academic year.
  • Postgraduate (M. Des): Applicants must hold a graduation degree in any discipline or be in their final year of study.
  • Age Requirement: Generally, UG aspirants should be at least 16–17 years of age at the time of admission.

Focusing on the Situation Test and GD

The April Situation Test is the final hands-on evaluation where students must demonstrate their problem-solving skills through material handling and 3D modeling.

  • Material Handling: Candidates are given various materials to create models that reflect a specific theme or solve a design challenge.
  • Group Discussion: This phase assesses interpersonal communication, collaboration, and the ability to articulate design thoughts clearly.
  • Psychological Endowments: The panel looks for traits like empathy, perseverance, and openness during these interactive sessions.

Aspirants should focus on refining their portfolios and practicing three-dimensional visualization to excel in the upcoming April window. It is highly recommended that you regularly log in to the official AIEED portal to track your application status and book your specific interaction slots.
