Candidates who have been shortlisted can now submit and lock their online option forms on the official website, llb5cap26.mahacet.org, starting from August 5, 2026. This schedule comes after the release of the CAP Round 1 final merit list on July 29, 2026. Only those who have registered for CAP, completed the e-scrutiny of their documents, and are listed in the final merit list are allowed to apply in Round 1.

Candidates can arrange up to 300 institute-course preferences in the order of their choice. The form must be confirmed, submitted, and locked before the deadline notified on the portal. Options not locked before the cut-off will not be considered for the Round 1 seat allotment. 

Who is Eligible to Submit the Option Form?

The Round 1 option form is available only to those candidates who are listed in the final merit list dated July 29, 2026. This includes Maharashtra State candidates, All India candidates, and other reserved categories as notified by the CET Cell. Candidates whose e-scrutiny was not completed or was rejected are not eligible for this round.
