The Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) has released the Round 4 opening and closing ranks.

The Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) has released the Round 4 opening and closing ranks. The cutoff report is now available on the official website, jeecup.admissions.nic.in. This comes after the Round 4 seat allotment results were announced this week. Candidates can check the opening and closing ranks for each institute and course. The report is divided into categories such as General, EWS, OBC, SC, and ST. It helps students confirm the cutoff for their allotted seat and also serves as a reference for the upcoming Round 5.

What the Round 4 Cutoff Report Shows

The report includes institute-wise and course-wise opening and closing ranks. It covers both government-aided and private polytechnic institutes in Uttar Pradesh. A candidate whose rank falls within the listed range will be allotted a seat. The report includes all the diploma groups offered in the state. Group A includes engineering and technology programs. Other groups cover pharmacy, hotel management, fashion design, and post-diploma courses. Round 4 cutoffs offer more opportunities for candidates with mid-range ranks. This is because top rankers usually get seats in the earlier rounds. Middle rank students often benefit the most from Round 4 allotments.

Who Can Participate in Round 4

Round 4 is open to a larger group of candidates compared to earlier rounds. Both Uttar Pradesh domicile and non-domicile students are eligible. Only those who qualified in JEECUP 2026 can be considered for a seat. This is a significant change from the UP-only Rounds 1 to 3. Non-domicile candidates now have access to vacant seats after UP quotas are filled. This helps fill up unclaimed seats across polytechnic institutes.

How Cutoff Decides Seat Allotment

Seats are assigned based on merit rank, candidate choices, and seat availability. The closing rank indicates the last admitted rank in a category. Any rank within the opening and closing range is considered for the seat. Seat availability changes between rounds. Vacant seats from earlier rounds are added to the Round 4 pool. New candidate choices and upgrade requests are also processed alongside.

Documents Required for Seat Acceptance

Candidates must bring all original documents along with self-attested copies. The list below includes the standard documents needed at the help centre. Missing documents may result in the cancellation of the seat during the reporting stage.

  • JEECUP 2026 admit card and scorecard.
  • Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and passing certificates.
  • Category certificate for reserved category candidates.
  • Domicile certificate for Uttar Pradesh-based candidates.
  • Recent passport-size photographs and a valid photo ID.
  • Round 4 allotment letter printout.

What Do Freeze, Float, and Withdraw Mean?

After seat allotment, candidates must choose one of three options. Each choice will affect their status in subsequent counselling rounds.

Freeze: Accept the seat and not participate in further rounds.

Float: Accept the seat and keep it open for potential upgrades.

Withdraw: Cancel the allotted seat and exit the counselling process.
