Question 1

1. Is IIBMS Mumbai recognized by UGC or AICTE?

Accepted Answer

IIBMS is a non-university institution and its programs are autonomous. Because it strictly offers distance learning and corporate training programs, it does not fall under the purview of UGC, AICTE, or DEB. Instead, it is accredited by international and professional bodies like the International Association for Distance Learning (IADL) and the British Standard Institute (BSI). Employers generally value these certifications for skill enhancement rather than for government job eligibility.

Question 2

2. What is the "MBA Fast Track" and how long does it take?

Accepted Answer

The Fast Track facility allows working professionals to complete a 2-year MBA program in as little as 10 to 24 months. This is designed for individuals who already have significant work experience and can demonstrate knowledge of management basics, allowing them to focus directly on advanced specializations and project work.

Question 3

3. What is the "Case Study" exam pattern?

Accepted Answer

Unlike traditional theory-based exams, IIBMS uses a Case Study Method. Students are given real-world business scenarios and must analyze them using managerial skills. This practical approach ensures that students are assessed on their ability to solve actual organizational problems rather than their ability to memorize textbooks.

Question 4

4. Can I get a refund if I cancel my admission?

Accepted Answer

No. IIBMS maintains a strict non-refundable and non-transferable fee policy. Once the fees are paid, they cannot be refunded under any circumstances. Prospective students are advised to speak thoroughly with counselors and review the course structure before making a payment.

Question 5

5. Are there any installment options for paying fees?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The institute provides installment facilities for most courses. However, to avail of this, students are typically required to submit post-dated cheques (PDCs) for the remaining installments at the time of admission. If a cheque bounces, a dishonor charge (approximately ₹800) is applied.

Question 6

6. How do I know if my admission is confirmed?

Accepted Answer

After submitting your application form, attested documents, and fees, the institute processes the enrollment. You will receive a "Welcome Letter" along with your Student Login ID and Password via email within 7 working days. Hard copies of the ID card and study materials (if opted for) usually arrive within 25 working days.
