They certainly can. There are no restrictions on bringing a laptop to the Institute, but it is not required at first. If you have a laptop, it will be useful for the Engineering Drawing course and a Computer Programming course in the second semester. The computer lab in the academic building, which is only a 5-minute walk from the hostel, is open to all students. The labs and academic area have high-speed Internet access, and the hostels have Wi-Fi. You can access online resources from your hostel if you have a laptop.
