An allotment is created after the candidate selects/locks one available combination and successfully pays the prescribed Seat Acceptance Fee. The resulting provisional admission receipt is then used for reporting and institutional verification. Final admission is subject to successful verification and confirmation by the concerned institute.

Can Candidates With an Existing Admission Participate?

Yes. Registering for DCAP, submitting choices or appearing in a merit or selection list does not by itself cancel an existing valid admission. Under the revised rules, an existing admission remains protected until a new admission obtained through DCAP is successfully verified and confirmed. Once the new admission is confirmed, the previous admission is cancelled as part of the prescribed replacement process.
