WBJEE DCAP 2026 Phase 1 Round 2 Seat Allocation Out Today; Check Fee and How to Confirm Your Seat

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) is releasing the WBJEE Decentralised Counselling (DCAP) 2026 Phase 1 Round 2 seat allocation result today, September 14, 2026, at 5 PM, on the counselling portal wbjeeb.co.in. Both candidates who weren't allotted a seat in Round 1 and Round 1-allotted candidates seeking an upgrade are eligible to be considered in this round.

Phase 1 Round 2 Schedule at a Glance

The DCAP 2026 schedule has moved more than once this cycle after early registration was extended because of portal technical issues, so double-check live dates on wbjeeb.co.in if you're relying on an older report.

Who Is Eligible for Round 2

• Candidates not allotted any seat in Round 1.
• Candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 1 and have already completed that admission — paid the fee, reported, and finished document verification — can also take part, seeking an upgrade. Per WBJEEB's counselling rules, simply selecting or locking a Round 1 seat without completing the full confirmation process does not make a candidate eligible for Round 2 consideration.

Choices already frozen from the earlier stage carry over into Round 2 — no fresh addition, deletion, or modification of choices is permitted in this round.

How to Check Your Seat Allocation

• Go to wbjeeb.co.in
• Click "Login" and enter your registered User ID/roll number and password
• Click "Sign In"
• Open the "Seat Allotment" section to view your allocated college, stream, and seat number

Confirming Your Seat: Fee and Steps

Allocated candidates must convert their allocation into a confirmed provisional admission by paying a ₹2,000 seat acceptance fee online (net banking, credit card, or debit card) before 11:59 PM on September 15. (This ₹2,000 DCAP fee is separate from the ₹5,000 seat-acceptance fee used in WBJEE's main centralised counselling — the two are different processes, so don't assume the figures are interchangeable.)

• Log in and open your Round 2 allocation
• Select the seat you wish to accept and click "Accept"/"Confirm"
• Pay the ₹2,000 fee online
• Report physically to the allotted institute for document verification between September 15 (10 AM) and September 16 (5 PM)

If you appear in more than one allocation, you must lock a single preferred choice; the other offers are released once you do. The source article's guidance indicates the ₹2,000 fee is refunded only if a candidate withdraws specifically within the counselling round window it was paid in — otherwise it is non-refundable; candidates should confirm the exact refund conditions on the official notification before relying on this for financial planning.

What Happens to Your Round 1 Seat

Simply participating in Round 2 does not put a Round 1-confirmed seat at risk. It is cancelled only if the candidate is allotted a new seat in Round 2 and goes on to confirm it — participating and not being reallotted, or not confirming, leaves the existing Round 1 seat untouched.

Vacant Seats and Participating Institutes

WBJEEB's DCAP 2026 seat matrix lists roughly 36,491 vacant seats overall — about 33,857 across engineering, technology, and architecture programmes, and 2,634 in pharmacy. All government and private institutes with residual vacancies are participating, including well-known names such as Jadavpur University among the larger public institutions with vacant seats this cycle.

What's Next: Phase 2

Candidates still without a confirmed seat after Phase 1 can look to Phase 2, with registration and choice filling expected from September 17 to September 19, 2026 — candidates should confirm this window on the official portal closer to the date, since Phase 2 timing has also seen revisions this cycle.
