WBJEE 2026 Round 2 Counselling Registration Closes Tomorrow: Choice Filling Window Shuts July 17

Candidates hoping to secure a seat through West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board's second counselling round have just one day left. The WBJEE 2026 Round 2 registration and choice filling window closes tomorrow, July 17, at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee — a deadline that also determines who gets considered for seat allotment just four days later.
Why Choice Order Matters More Than It Seems
Unlike a simple registration form, WBJEE counselling asks candidates to rank courses and colleges in order of preference — and this ranking is treated as final once submitted. Since seat allotment follows almost immediately after the window closes, there's little room to revisit or second-guess choices after the fact. Candidates are advised to finalize their preference order carefully before submitting, rather than treating it as something to revise later.
From Registration to Seat: What's Left of the Timeline
| Event | Dates |
|---|---|
| Fresh Registration & Choice Filling – Round 2 | July 13 – July 17, 2026 |
| Seat Allotment – Round 2 | July 21, 2026 |
| Payment of Seat Acceptance Fee | July 21 – July 23, 2026 |
With just two days between allotment and the start of the fee payment window, candidates who clear Round 2 will need to act quickly to confirm their seat once results are out.

What Happens After Tomorrow
Once the window closes, WBJEEB will process the submitted choices against candidate ranks to generate the Round 2 seat allotment list on July 21. Candidates allotted a seat will then have a narrow two-day window — July 21 to 23 — to pay the seat acceptance fee and lock in their admission. Missing this payment window could mean forfeiting the allotted seat altogether.
Candidates who haven't yet registered or filled their choices are advised to complete the process well ahead of tomorrow's deadline to avoid last-minute portal congestion.
