WB NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Counselling Schedule Out: Check Dates

The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has released the NEET UG 2026 Round 2 counselling schedule for MBBS and BDS admissions in West Bengal. The notice was published on September 3, 2026, on the official WBMCC website. The Round 2 process will cover medical and dental seats available under the applicable government and private-college quotas. Candidates eligible for the second round must complete registration and fee payment by September 8, 2026. The choice filling and locking deadline is September 9, 2026. Candidates should complete the process before the deadline instead of waiting for the final hours.

WB NEET UG 2026 Round 2: Important Dates

Candidates should continue checking the official WBMCC portal for the detailed Round 2 schedule, seat matrix and subsequent allotment updates. The WBMCC website currently lists the Round 2 schedule among its latest UG medical and dental counselling updates.

Round 1 Admission Deadline Extended

Along with the Round 2 schedule, WBMCC extended the Round 1 admission deadline until 9 PM on September 3, 2026. The extension gave candidates allotted seats in the first round additional time to complete the joining process. Candidates who could not complete the Round 1 admission formalities should check the Round 2 eligibility provisions before registering. The applicable consequences can depend on the candidate's counselling status and the official rules.

Who Can Apply for WB NEET UG 2026 Round 2?

Round 2 counselling is intended for eligible NEET UG 2026 candidates participating in West Bengal's state counselling process.

1. The process covers MBBS and BDS admissions. The applicable seats may include government-college seats and private-college seats under the relevant State, Management and NRI quotas.
2. Fresh candidates and candidates seeking further participation after Round 1 may be eligible, subject to WBMCC's current counselling rules.
3. Candidates should read the official Round 2 instructions carefully before submitting their registration.

WBMCC Round 2 Choice Filling and Locking

Choice filling is an important part of the Round 2 process. Candidates should arrange their preferred medical and dental colleges in the order they actually want them. The last date for choice filling and locking is September 9, 2026. Candidates should review their preferences carefully before locking them. Once choices are locked or the choice window closes, changes may not be possible under the applicable counselling rules.

WBMCC Round 2 Fee and Security Deposit

Candidates are required to pay the applicable counselling charges during registration. The process may also involve a security deposit, with the amount depending on the type of college or quota selected. The source information indicates that government and private-college choices have different deposit requirements. Since the exact current amounts should be taken from the latest WBMCC fee document, candidates should verify the applicable fee structure on the official portal before making payment.

WB NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Seat Matrix

WBMCC is expected to provide the Round 2 seat matrix through its official counselling portal.  The seat matrix is important because it shows the available seats against participating colleges and categories. Candidates should review the latest matrix before finalising their preferences. The Round 2 process covers MBBS and BDS seats, including applicable seats in government and private institutions. Seat availability can change after the previous round because of admissions, non-joining candidates and other counselling adjustments. Therefore, candidates should use the latest official seat matrix when making choices.
