VJTI's (Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Mumbai) provisional merit list for its Institute-Level Spot Round for First Year B.Tech admissions 2026-27 is due for release today, September 10, 2026. Registration for the round has already closed. Counselling and seat allotment will be held on campus over four days — September 11, 12, 13, and 15, 2026 — for seats left vacant after the Maharashtra Centralized Admission Process (CAP) rounds.

VJTI Spot Round Counselling Schedule, Day by Day
- Day 1 — September 11: Candidates report to the VJTI Main Building at 9:30 AM. Counselling proceeds in merit-list order, followed by document verification, fee payment, and seat allotment.
- Day 2 — September 12: Candidates report again at 9:30 AM. Any seats left vacant from Day 1 (due to no-shows or cancellations) are offered strictly by inter-se merit, without reservation.
- Day 3 — September 13: Reporting at 9:30 AM continues on the same pattern. This is also the cut-off: cancellations after this date do not qualify for a fee refund.
- September 15: VJTI's official notification lists this as part of the spot-round schedule, though the specific activity for the day isn't detailed in the material available.
How VJTI Spot Round Seats Will Be Allotted
Applying for the spot round does not by itself guarantee a seat. Allotment depends on two things: a candidate's rank on the inter-se merit list, and which seats are still vacant at the moment that candidate is called. If a candidate is absent when called, VJTI moves to the next name on the list — so being present and on time matters as much as the merit rank itself.
Program-Wise Seat Matrix
| Program | Sanctioned Intake | CIWGC | FN/PIO/OCI |
|---|---|---|---|
| Civil Engineering | 60 | 3 | 6 |
| Computer Engineering | 60 | 3 | 6 |
| Electrical Engineering | 60 | 3 | 6 |
| Electronics Engineering | 60 | 3 | 6 |
| Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering | 60 | 3 | 6 |
| Information Technology | 60 | 3 | 6 |
| Mechanical Engineering | 60 | 3 | 6 |
| Production Engineering (Sandwich) | 60 | 3 | 6 |
| Textile Technology | 60 | 3 | 6 |
These are sanctioned intake figures, not the number of seats actually vacant for the spot round — the number of real vacancies depends on how many CAP-round admissions were confirmed or cancelled.
Eligibility and Documents Required
- Candidates are evaluated on MHT CET score where available; those without an MHT CET score can be considered on JEE Main score; candidates with neither can be considered on Class 12 marks.
- All applicable original documents plus self-attested photocopies must be carried to counselling — failing to produce these at verification means losing the claim to a seat that round.
- Candidates from SC/ST/PWD/OBC/VJ/NT/SBC categories claiming a fee concession need an income certificate valid through March 31, 2027.
Fee Refund Policy
No refund is available for admission cancellations made after September 12, 2026 — candidates confirming a seat on Day 1 or Day 2 should factor this cut-off into their decision.
