Eligibility Criteria

For undergraduate courses, candidates must have passed Class 10th and Class 12th exams with a minimum of 50% marks. However, some courses may have higher requirements. For the B.Tech programme, students must have passed Class 10 and 12 exams with a minimum of 50% marks in physics, chemistry, and mathematics. For mathematics and computing disciplines, a minimum of 70% marks is required. Postgraduate candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in their graduation.

Selection Pathways

UPES provides multiple selection options for certain courses, allowing candidates to choose the path that suits them best. Candidates can apply through UPESEAT for B.Tech admissions, and UPESMET for Management admissions. For design programs, the UPESDAT test is required, while UPESLAT is used for Law programs. UPES also considers scores from national-level exams like JEE Main, CAT, CLAT, and SAT. Candidates with outstanding Class 12 percentile scores can choose the board merit pathway. Those with PCM scores above 80 percent are eligible for direct admission into the B.Tech programme without taking the UPESEAT test.
