The announcement of results is very important for diploma holders and B.Sc. Mathematics graduates who want to get admission into engineering and pharmacy courses through lateral entry. Qualified candidates will be able to start the counselling process, which is scheduled to begin from June 2026. 

TS ECET is held every year in the state to admit students into 2nd-year B.E./B.Tech and B.Pharmacy programmes through lateral entry. The exam was conducted on May 15, 2026, in a computer-based test format at different centres. About 95.46% of the registered students participated in the exam. Candidates are ranked based on the marks they scored in the entrance test. If two or more candidates have the same marks, the tie is broken by considering mathematics first, then physics and chemistry, and finally age.

How to Download the TS ECET 2026 Rank Card?

• Candidates can easily access their rank card through the official website, ecet.tgche.ac.in. 
• To do this, they need to enter their hall ticket number, registration number, and date of birth. These details were recorded when they applied.
• Once the details are entered, the rank card will be displayed showing the marks scored in each subject, total marks, and the qualifying status.
• Students can then download the rank card in PDF format and print multiple copies for use during counselling and admissions processes.
• The rank card is important for attending counselling sessions and completing the document verification process.

Important information included in the rank card is the candidate's full name, hall ticket number, father's name, date of birth, category, marks in each subject, total marks, overall rank, category-wise rank, and qualifying status. For students belonging to the General and BC categories, a minimum of 50 marks out of 200 is required, which is equivalent to 25% of the total marks. However, there is no minimum qualifying mark requirement for students from the SC and ST categories. Based on the results from the previous year, 2025, girls performed better than boys in terms of qualifying percentage. Girls achieved a qualifying percentage of 95.81%, while boys scored 92.71%. 

Expected TS ECET 2026 Cutoff Ranks for Top Colleges

The cutoff marks for well-known colleges like CBIT, GRIET, and Osmania University tend to be quite high for popular branches such as Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). This is because these colleges and branches are highly sought after, and there are limited seats available. The cutoff marks may differ based on the candidate's college, category, seat availability, the popularity of the branch, and the number of students who qualify.

TS ECET 2026 Counselling Process

All qualified candidates will need to participate in the TS ECET 2026 counselling process, which is set to begin in June 2026. The counselling process will involve online payment of fees, verification of documents at designated helpline centres, submitting choices of colleges and courses online, and allocation of seats based on the candidates’ ranks, categories, seat availability, and preferences. The counselling fee will be ₹1,200 for General/OBC candidates and ₹600 for SC/ST candidates. Candidates should make sure to prepare all the required documents for the counselling process. These include the rank card, hall ticket, qualifying examination marksheet, intermediate marksheet, SSC certificate, study certificate, residence certificate, caste certificate if applicable, income certificate, and transfer certificate.
