Candidates included in the final merit list, including applicable addenda, should check the official vacancy list and enter as many genuine college choices as they are willing to accept. The university has warned that mop-up allotments carry strict joining, penalty, and debarment rules.

Who Can Enter Options?
Candidates whose names appear in the final merit list, including subsequently issued addenda and corrigenda, may exercise web options if they satisfy the university’s counselling conditions.
Candidates who received a seat in an earlier phase but did not report, or who discontinued the course after joining, are not eligible for the mop-up phase. Candidates who did not exercise web options in the first phase are also not eligible.
Candidates who joined and are continuing in an allotted college may exercise options for upward movement. However, candidates admitted through MCC counselling up to the third phase are not eligible for the Telangana mop-up phase.
How to Fill Telangana MBBS Mop-Up Web Options
- Visit the official Telangana medical admissions option portal.
- Open the MBBS Competent Authority Quota web-option link for the mop-up phase.
- Log in using the required candidate details and the six-letter, capital-letter one-time password sent to the registered mobile number.
- Review the official college-wise vacancy list before arranging choices.
- Enter all colleges you are genuinely prepared to join. KNRUHS has not placed a limit on the number of choices.
- Save the options and take a printout or screenshot of the final submitted order for your records.
Candidates should use a desktop or laptop with a stable internet connection where possible. They should not share their one-time password or login credentials with anyone.
University Fee and Tuition Fee
Candidates allotted a seat in the mop-up phase must pay a university fee of ₹12,000 through the online payment gateway before downloading the allotment letter.
Candidates who already paid the university fee in an earlier phase and receive a changed allotment do not have to pay it again.
The college tuition fee is separate from the university fee. Candidates must follow the fee instructions of the allotted college and applicable government orders when reporting.
Enhanced Seats Included in the Mop-Up Phase
The official notice states that the intake at TRR Institute of Medical Sciences and Mediciti Institute of Medical Sciences has increased from 150 to 200 MBBS seats.
Fifty per cent of the enhanced seats are shown under the Competent Authority Quota and are included in the mop-up counselling process.
Candidates should use the current official vacancy PDF while entering options because availability differs by college and category.
Important Mop-Up Penalty and Debarment Rule
KNRUHS has stated that a candidate who receives a seat in the mop-up phase and does not join, or who discontinues after joining through this phase, must pay a ₹20 lakh penalty.
Such a candidate will also be debarred for three years from MBBS admission under KNRUHS.
The university has stated that free exit was available only up to October 8, 2026. Candidates should therefore enter only those choices they are prepared to accept and understand the financial and academic consequences before submitting options.
