Tamil Nadu MDS 2026 Applications Reopen After Cutoff Reduction; Apply by October 19

Tamil Nadu has reopened online applications for MDS admissions for the 2026–27 session following the reduction in the NEET MDS qualifying cutoff. Eligible candidates can apply until 19 October 2026, 12 noon. The Selection Committee's 15 October notice covers MDS seats in government medical and dental colleges, and government-quota and management-quota seats, including NRI seats, in self-financing dental colleges in Tamil Nadu.

These are qualifying thresholds, not college closing ranks or a guarantee of admission. Applicants must also meet the applicable prospectus requirements for their quota.

Already applied? Do not submit another application

The notice specifically says that lower-percentile candidates who have already applied need not apply again. Check the status of your existing application rather than treating the reopening as a requirement to create a second one. Candidates who need to apply should visit the official MDS application portal, select the appropriate quota and read the prospectus before completing the form. 

Upload the relevant documents, complete the required payment steps and save the application acknowledgement and payment record. Do not leave submission until the final minutes. The deadline is noon, not midnight. Follow the Selection Committee's updates for subsequent instructions; the reopening notice does not announce a rank-list, allotment or reporting date.
