The Five-Step Registration Process

The entire VITEEE application process is conducted exclusively online on the official VIT website. Candidates must follow these steps meticulously:

  1. New User Registration: Fill in basic details (Name, DOB, Mobile, Email) and receive a temporary Application Number via OTP/email verification.
  2. Fill Application Form: Complete personal, academic (Class 10 and 12 details), and communication information.
  3. Pay Application Fee: The application fee is typically ₹1,350/- (subject to final announcement) and is non-refundable. Payment is accepted via Credit/Debit card, Net Banking, or UPI.
  4. Upload Documents: Upload the required digital copies of the passport-size photograph and signature strictly following the specified format, size (typically 20 KB to 300 KB, JPEG), and dimension guidelines.
  5. Final Submission: Review all entries thoroughly before final submission and take a printout of the completed application form.

Understanding the Exam Pattern and Marking

A major factor influencing preparation is the exam structure. The VITEEE 2026 question paper comprises 125 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for a total of 500 marks, with a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes.

  • Marking Scheme: Every correct answer fetches 4 marks, and importantly, there is Negative Marking of -1 for every incorrect answer. This emphasizes the need for accuracy during the test.
  • Sections: The paper is divided into five sections: Physics (35 questions), Chemistry (35 questions), Mathematics/Biology (40 questions), Aptitude (10 questions), and English (5 questions). Students must choose either the Mathematics (MPCEA) or Biology (BPCEA) section based on the B.Tech program they wish to apply for.

Engineering aspirants are strongly urged to begin their preparation by practicing with mock tests that adhere to this revised pattern. By registering early, you ensure your eligibility and gain ample time to prepare strategically for the exam window from April 28 to May 3, 2026.
