The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) has released a revised schedule for the second round of online counselling for admissions to MBBS and BDS courses under the Punjab state quota. This update comes in the wake of the Medical Counselling Committee's (MCC) revised timeline for NEET UG 2025 counselling, ensuring that the state-level process remains synchronized with the national one. The second round of counselling is now scheduled from September 2 to September 25, 2025.

Revised Schedule and Key Dates

This revised schedule provides a clear roadmap for aspirants to complete their admission process. The key dates and activities are as follows:

  • Willingness and Security Deposit: Candidates can submit their willingness to participate and pay the security deposit from September 2 to September 4, 2025. The security deposit is ₹10,000 for government colleges, ₹2,00,000 for private colleges, and ₹2,00,000 for both.
  • Provisional Merit List: The provisional merit list will be displayed on September 5, 2025. Candidates have until September 6, 2025, to submit any objections.
  • Online Choice Filling: The choice-filling window is from September 9 to September 12, 2025.
  • Seat Allotment Results: The processing of seat allotment will be done from September 13 to 15, and the provisional allotment results will be displayed on September 17, 2025.
  • Reporting and Fee Payment: Provisionally selected candidates must pay the remaining fee and report to their allotted colleges between September 20 and September 25, 2025.

Important Note on Seat Surrender

Aspirants who were allotted and joined a seat in Round 1 of the counselling have the option to surrender their seat with a free exit until September 8, 2025. This provides an opportunity for students to reconsider their options before the final stages of Round 2 begin.
