For thousands of medical aspirants seeking MBBS and BDS seats, today marks a crucial day in the ongoing NEET UG Counselling 2025 process, particularly for the All India Quota (AIQ) Round 3 and several state quotas. Candidates are urged to check their status and adhere to the strict deadlines set by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and various State Counselling Authorities.

MCC NEET UG Round 3 Allotment Processing Underway

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is currently in the thick of processing the seat allotment for Round 3 of NEET UG Counselling 2025.

• Processing Day: October 6 and October 7, 2025, are scheduled for the Processing of Seat Allotment for the 15% AIQ, Central Universities, and Deemed University seats. This technical phase is where the final college and course matching is determined based on the choices submitted and locked by candidates.
• Result Tomorrow: The much-awaited Seat Allotment Result for Round 3 is slated to be declared on October 8, 2025. Aspirants must check the official MCC website (mcc.nic.in) to download their provisional allotment letters.
• Reporting: Candidates allotted a seat in this round must report to their respective colleges between October 9 and October 17, 2025.

Important Seat Addition: Candidates should note that the MCC recently added 138 new MBBS seats to the Round 3 seat matrix across various ESIC and Government Medical Colleges. This slight expansion increases the chances for many in the final rounds of counselling.

State Counselling Deadlines: A Race Against Time

Several state counselling bodies also have active timelines for their 85% State Quota seats:

• Haryana NEET UG Round 3: Today, October 7, 2025, is the start date for Fresh Registration, Security Fee Deposit, and Choice Filling/Locking for the Haryana State Quota Round 3. This window is open until October 11, 2025. This is a crucial window for candidates who have not yet participated or wish to upgrade their seats in Haryana.
• Tamil Nadu NEET UG Round 3: Registration and payment for the TN Health Round 3 are currently open and will close on October 9, 2025. Choice Filling will follow from October 11 to October 14, 2025.
• UP NEET UG Round 3: Registration and Security Fee payment are also currently open for the Uttar Pradesh State Quota Round 3 and will conclude on October 9, 2025. Choice Filling will be conducted from October 11 to 13, 2025.

As Round 3 is usually followed only by a Stray Vacancy Round with limited options, candidates are advised to participate actively and thoughtfully. Allotted candidates in Round 3 generally have no option to resign and must join the college, making the choice-filling a non-negotiable step.
